Z & Z and our Guest Makes 3!

Zabu is on the Lookout for Will!  The days are getting shorter and he knows his buddy Will will be home soon!   "Is that you, Will?"   Sorry, Zabu, it's just Sarah again.  ... "Okay, just wake me up when Will gets home."

Its' getting a little too cold and wet to play outdoors in Seattle and Zabu is trying to get all his energy out by playing around the house! He somehow wrapped himself up in his guest's birthday wrapping ribbon! Impressive! He is particularly fond of the scruffy mouse toys (there was only one but then the vacuum found a 2nd under the refrigerator!) And the birthday present wrapping paper, as long as it survives, is great for rolling on and attacking. Really anything that can be batted around will do. Occasionally Zin Bin makes a good play pal. With the pent-up energy there's also been a lot of new chewing on things... a pair of goggles 2 swimming caps and a foam roller later and Sarah is finally learning to put her things away! Good thing he's so darn cute :)

Sarah sits practicing morning meditation: the goal is keep focusing on her breathing no matter what... Zabu comes to help by playing with the drawstrings of her pajama pants-- he explains this is advanced meditation-- "try to stay focused while I tug on your pants, lady!" He's such a good helper :)  

The guest at 119 MLK uses a sun lamp in the mornings--it's a lamp that is super bright and mimics the sun shining. The kitties were initially in love with the lamp racing their guest out to the living room each morning to sit by the light. After a couple weeks they got used to it and stopped asking what it is, now just hang out nearby and bask in the glow.    When their guest got the flu Zin discovered the heat pad and loves loves loves it! Their guest can always convince her to sit and socialize if she sets the heat pad out.    The guest turned the fireplace on one night and though Zinny wasn't around to enjoy the heat Zabu was super curious about the noise from the fireplace and very happy to sit on his guest's lap and purr while she read her book. The kitties are adjusting to winter and counting down the days until their family comes home!

While their family is away Z&Z are spending lots of extra time together and becoming even better friends! They play together. (Watch out Zabu!)    Watch out Zinny, he's coming for the feather toy! They nap together. And have bath time together! And ask when their family is coming home together (only a couple more months guys!)
